Overview Pleevi Engine

Now that we have an account, it's time to create our first site.

What is a site?

A site in our Energy Management System (EMS) represents a physical location such as a factory, office building, or apartment complex. Each site is typically associated with a single connection to the electrical grid and operates independently within the system. It manages energy flow, monitors devices, and optimizes operations for its designated grid connection.

Data Flow

For each site, you need to send Pleevi some data. Once we start receiving the necessary data, Pleevi will release, every 15 mintues, an optimized schedule for the next 24 hours

Data Requirements

For the pleevi engine to work, we need:

  • The site topology or site configuration. This is a detailed description on how the site is structured and physically / electronically connected. This should not change unless an electrician changed some things on your site. We will also need to know the coordinates of your site so we can predict the weather.
  • Charging station measurements We need the metering data from the charging stations, with at least one measurement every 5 minutes.
  • Enhanced OCPP Transactions that contain the driver departure times and requested energy (or an estimation for both).
  • Ideally, we also receive all meter measurements from your site:
    • solar power measurements can be used to predict the solar energy generated on your site
    • building load (or "uncontrollable load") can be measured and predicted by having measurements of all energy meters on your site. This way we can know about the load not controllable by Pleevi.
